The science ministers of Norway and China have agreed to increase research collaboration on the environment, life sciences and ICT.
The joint action plan for 2017-20 aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, promote knowledge transfer and increase research capacities, according to a Norwegian government statement. The partnership includes long-term projects, academic exchanges and more cooperation within Horizon 2020, the EU Framework programme for research.
“With this action plan we want to encourage more joint projects between Chinese and Norwegian researchers. We hope that it will be beneficial for both countries,” said Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, Norway’s research minister.
