Ex-nuclear chief accused of fraud

One of Russia's most senior former nuclear officials has been arrested on suspicion of stealing research funds.

Yevgeny Jevstratov, former deputy chief of Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom), and his team of researchers were awarded $9 million funding for research in nuclear safety. They have been accused of pocketing the money and presenting research found on the internet as their own.
