Skolkovo cleared of misconduct

Russia's Skolkovo innovation centre has been cleared of a number of embezzlement allegations, according to a report by the country's Ria Novosti news site.

In an article on 16 November, the news agency says that the management of the Skolkovo Foundation, the agency running the innovation centre, has “taken exhaustive measures to remedy the violations detected by the prosecutors”.

In October, prosecutors described the foundation’s spending as “out of control and extravagant”, and accused it of having inappropriately spent 125 billion rubles (€2.8bn) of government funds.
