Computer scientist named Skoltech president

Alexander Kuleshov, the former director of the Kharkevich Institute for Information Transmission Problems at the Russian Academy of Sciences, has been announced as the next head of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).

Kuleshov sits on the RAS’s council for innovation and intellectual property and holds a position at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

He will become the second president of Skoltech, taking over from Edward Crawley, who has held that office since the university was founded in 2011.
