MEP votes go on record

As of next month, all final votes on resolutions and legislation by MEPs in committees will be recorded and made available to the public.

In a 26 February plenary session, the European Parliament voted to change the Parliament’s internal rules so that the names of MEPs and how they voted will be recorded and published.

It also made this roll-call voting compulsory for non-binding resolutions in plenary—at the moment it is obligatory only for legislation, and optional for resolutions.
