Croatian presidency to tackle research mobility and funding

Prime minister Andrej Plenković sets out EU host’s priorities for first half of 2020

The mobility of scientists and investments in research and innovation will be among the priorities of Croatia’s upcoming presidency of the Council of the EU, the country’s prime minister Andrej Plenković has announced.

Speaking at the National and University Library in Zagreb on 30 October, Plenković listed four overarching priority areas for the presidency, which will cover the first six months of 2020. These are: economic development, connectivity, security and global influence.
