MEPs are set to press Mariya Gabriel and Sylvie Goulard, the R&D and industry commissioner nominees, over their plans for priorities such as research collaboration and digital technologies.
European Parliament staff have drawn up lists of written questions for MEPs to put to the 27 nominees for commissioner posts ahead of hearings due to take place between 30 September and 8 October.
Research Professional News has seen the draft questions that have been prepared for MEPs in the Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. These are set to be put to nominees including Gabriel (pictured), who has been allocated the Innovation and Youth portfolio that includes research, innovation and education, and Goulard, who has been given the Internal Market role that covers industry, digital, defence industry and space.
