2020: The year of Covid-19

    

The pandemic wasn’t the only thing that happened in 2020, but it infected almost everything

The first time Research Professional News reported on Covid-19, on 21 January, the disease had yet to be named. Our team even debated whether to use the word ‘deadly’ in a headline as so few people were known to have died from it.

By December, the World Health Organization had attributed 1.5 million deaths around the world to the pandemic, and we had published more than 2,500 articles mentioning the disease.
