Proposed EU law says online platforms must give researchers access to data
The final details of the EU’s 2021-27 programme to update and expand its digital technology capabilities have been agreed by negotiators, paving the way for billions of euros of spending on related fields.
The €7.5 billion Digital Europe programme, provisionally agreed by the European Parliament and Council of the EU on 14 December, includes €2.2bn for supercomputing, €2bn for artificial intelligence, €1.6bn for cybersecurity and €577 million for “advanced digital skills”.
