Research included in EU appeals for US cooperation

EU wants transatlantic teamwork on Covid, climate change and artificial intelligence, among other areas

The EU has made a pitch for cooperation with Joe Biden’s incoming US administration, describing it as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” for closer working on research-heavy topics including Covid-19 and climate change.

The European Commission set out on 2 December how it hopes the EU could work with president-elect Biden when he takes office on January 2021.
