Commissioner, MEPs and lobby groups all back call for €120bn 2021-27 R&D budget
Research commissioner Mariya Gabriel has signed a joint statement with MEPs backing the European Parliament’s call for a €120 billion budget for the 2021-27 EU R&D programme, Horizon Europe.
The unity between the commissioner and Parliament comes as the third arm of EU governance, the European Council, meets to debate the overall 2021-27 EU budget and a €750bn post-pandemic recovery instrument.
