ERA plan opens for feedback as leaked text hints at intentions

Leaked European Research Area draft includes proposals on equality, assessment, ethics and infrastructures

The European Commission has opened a public consultation on its plan to revamp the European Research Area, an EU initiative to facilitate the free circulation of researchers and knowledge.

Researchers and other EU citizens have been invited to offer their opinions on the ERA plan, which the Commission will fine-tune over the coming months and years. A text setting out the initial broad strokes is expected in September.
