Early career researcher initiative intended to join other academy networks in EU Scientific Advice Mechanism

The Young Academy of Europe, a group representing early career researchers, has come together with 12 national European young academies and the Global Young Academy to form a Young Academies Science Advice Structure, aiming to formalise their collaboration and increase their contribution to EU science advice.

YAE announced on 18 December that the academies in Yasas want the network to feed into the EU’s Scientific Advisory Mechanism, which gives the European Commission advice on scientific evidence for any area of policymaking.
