Researchers, businesses and politicians give a muted response to the Glasgow Climate Pact

Alok Sharma, the UK’s head of the crucially important COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, caught the mood of many when he closed the conference.

Although the former UK business secretary (pictured) said he was pleased that the Glasgow Climate Pact had been delivered, he warned that it was “a fragile win”.
