Ukraine seeking closer ties through Horizon Europe and Erasmus+, EU says

Ukraine wants to “deepen” its research collaboration with the EU, including by participating in the EU’s 2021-27 R&D and academic mobility programmes, the country and bloc said in a joint statement they published following a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council—the high-level forum through which the two work on their political relations.

The joint statement published after the meeting on 11 February said the Association Council “welcomed Ukraine’s intention to deepen research and innovation cooperation with the EU, including through participation in Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ and other programmes, as well as continued integration in the European Research Area”.
