Horizon Europe association will foster job growth in southern Europe, Commission argues

The European Commission has included research among areas for collaboration in a proposed new agenda for Mediterranean countries, which aligns with plans to mobilise up to €30 billion in private and public investment in the region over the next decade.

“Research and innovation has unparalleled benefits for the achievement of any forward-looking policy objective,” the Commission wrote in its 9 February plan outlining opportunities for new partnerships.
