Non-binding agreement proposed to cover values, principles and priorities for EU R&D

The European Commission has set out its proposal for a Pact for Research and Innovation in Europe—a non-binding agreement intended to be adopted by EU member states to steer their R&D efforts.

The pact is the centerpiece of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to reinvigorate the European Research Area (ERA)—a set of EU policies to raise research standards and increase the mobility of researchers and knowledge.
