
“New and radical” strategic direction is needed for cancer research, say study authors
Europe needs a “radical” new strategy for cancer research in Europe and its spending on research into the disease should double, according to the authors of a new study.
Mark Lawler, a professor of digital health at Queen’s University Belfast, and Richard Sullivan, director of the Institute of Cancer Policy at King’s College London, said that many parts of Europe’s cancer research system are “not fit for purpose”.
