Horizon Europe
The European Commission has sketched out how it is planning to spend about €13.5 billion across large parts of the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme in 2023-24. Published draft work programmes set out that spending will be directed towards current political priorities, including sustainability, digitisation, recovery from the Covid pandemic, and security concerns stemming from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Commission also opened a public consultation on the EU’s R&I programmes, to help determine future spending priorities.
