Jean-Eric Paquet will give up research role to become EU ambassador to Japan
The European Commission’s top official for research and innovation, Jean-Eric Paquet, has confirmed he will be leaving his role in September to become the bloc’s ambassador to Japan.
“I have been nominated as head of the EU Delegation to Japan,” Paquet announced on 9 June. “I will start as EU ambassador to Japan on the 1st of September.”
