‘High hopes among MEPs’ as Czech presidency sets out aims

Presidency tells European Parliament of plans for academic freedom and other work

MEPs are optimistic that the Czech Republic will make good progress on important research issues during its July-to-December turn at chairing the EU-related activities of the bloc’s member state governments.

The European Parliament has “high hopes” for the Czech presidency of the Council of the EU and “is much more counting on” it than its French predecessor, MEP Christian Ehler told Czech representatives on 13 July.
