A top EU official has called for the bloc to take more action to become self-sufficient in a range of key technologies of the future, including in space and quantum domains.
This is needed, he suggested, if the EU is to remain a global power amid rising geopolitical tensions and a state of a permanent crisis caused by various outside triggers.
