Universities urge slower process for European Research Area

      

Yerun university group says current ERA policies need more reflection before new ones are adopted

More time is needed to assess the current priorities of the European Research Area policy initiative before new ones are adopted, according to a group representing 23 research universities across Europe.

In 2021, the ERA adopted 18 2022-24 priorities for bringing EU countries closer together on research policies and raising research standards across the bloc. These include opening up research methods and outcomes, and making assessment of researchers fairer.
