Restructuring of Directorate General for Research and Innovation results in dedicated team being set up
The European Commission has tweaked the structure of its Directorate General for Research and Innovation, including by adding a new unit dealing directly with artificial intelligence.
The restructuring was set out in an updated organisational chart for the department, with the addition of the new unit for Industry 5.0 and AI in Science, provisionally headed by Peter Dröll, a director in the department with responsibility for prosperity.
