Most EU regions lag behind in university education goal

      

Only 30 per cent of EU regions hit 45 per cent higher-education target

Huge swathes of the EU are lagging significantly behind the bloc’s target calling for 45 per cent of 25-34 year olds to achieve a university-level education by 2030, according to the latest data from its statistics body.

Only 30 per cent of EU regions met this goal by 2022, suggests data released on 14 November by Eurostat.
