Spain pushing for global science cooperation during EU presidency

EU member states back extension of Mediterranean research partnership, a priority of Spain’s Council leadership

International science cooperation is a priority of Spain’s July-to-December presidency of the Council of the EU member state governments, the country’s science minister has told MEPs.

Diana Morant’s presentation came a day before EU member states gave the green light to start negotiations on an extension of a collaborative environmental research programme among Mediterranean countries, which the Spanish presidency listed in its priorities in July.
