EU urged to boost its use of science diplomacy

Cesaer university group says current efforts are welcome but are not enough

EU efforts to boost the bloc’s science diplomacy are welcome but more needs to be done, a university group has said.

In a position paper published on 18 June, the Cesaer group of European universities of science and technology addressed three areas of science diplomacy: the use of science in broader diplomacy; the use of science as a diplomatic bridge-builder; and international scientific cooperation in general.
