Ukraine academics seeking EU fellowships undeterred by hack

Webinar for Ukrainian researchers on fellowships across Europe interrupted by Russian flag and war images

A fresh, expanded round of funding for displaced Ukrainian researchers to undertake fellowships across Europe is pressing ahead despite “external malicious interference” forcing the abandonment of a webinar that was part of the application process launch.

The MSCA4Ukraine programme, now benefiting from €10 million top-up funding from the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon Europe, launched its second call for applications on 5 August. The scheme is open to displaced researchers from Ukraine, with a total provision of €25 million.
