Food agency pledges ‘openness’

The European Food Safety Authority has released a report detailing how it plans to increase the openness, robustness and transparency of its scientific assessments.

The report published on 26 March details the outcomes of a consultation of national and international science advisory bodies on the “Transformation to an Open Efsa” held between 10 November 2014 and 10 February 2015.

Efsa asked for comments on how it could coordinate and ensure consistency across its projects, and develop clearer scientific assessment guidelines.
