European businesses want TTIP agreement scrapped

Businesses across Europe have called on the European Commission to stop Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations between the EU and the US.

A statement by Business Against TTIP, a UK group concerned about the effect of TTIP of small and medium sized business in Europe, says the trade agreement could destroy European businesses.

“We are concerned that many European businesses risk being wiped out by unfair competition from US corporations if TTIP is allowed to go through,” the statement reads.
