Major corporations have called on the European Commission to reconsider a leaked energy regulations proposal that could prioritise fossil fuels over renewables.
A group of companies including Google, Unilever, Nestlé and IKEA has published a report calling on the EU to design its energy legislation reforms to encourage more business and consumer investment in renewables.
The report was published yesterday, after a Commission proposal for revisions to EU energy legislation—known as the Winter Package—was leaked by Euractiv France on Tuesday.
