The European Institute of Innovation and Technology contributes significantly to growing Europe’s research on energy technologies, a report has said.
The report, written by financial consulting company Deloitte, reviews the work of 45 EU agencies and joint undertakings. It praised the EIT’s success in setting up what it calls “Europe’s largest innovation community”. The report found that, since its inception in 2008, the EIT has co-founded more than 200 start-ups and set up 32 innovation hubs around Europe.
