Universities state priorities for transition to open access

The European University Association (EUA) has outlined its priorities for a strategy to help universities transition to open access.

The association says it will map the European open access landscape by monitoring institutional policies, current agreements and ongoing negotiations with publishers, and establish a new platform for dialogue on these issues.

In a 3-page statement issued on February 1, the  EUA said it will use this information to make recommendations on current best practices, model policies, guidelines and negotiations with publishers.
