European Commission issues warning, citing ‘systemic’ issue of forced technology transfer in China
A regular European Commission survey of worldwide threats to EU intellectual property has again named China as a top concern, and warned that intellectual property theft is causing “irreparable harm” to businesses.
The findings of the official report on IP protection, infringement and enforcement, published on 9 January, largely mirror those of the previous survey in 2018, with China the only country placed in the ‘priority one’ category.
