Real-world health data offer ‘major opportunities’ to improve treatment, regulators say

European medical regulators have called on policymakers to support a raft of measures for making better use of real-world health data in assessments of potential treatments.

The European Medicines Agency and national regulators made ten recommendations in a report they published on 20 January. Number one was funding a secure data platform for data sharing across the EU.
