Data watchdog proposes code of conduct for research
The EU should have a bloc-wide code of conduct for protecting research data, modelled on an existing code for research integrity, the European data protection supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski has proposed.
In a non-binding opinion published on 6 January, the independent EU watchdog said that a code of conduct could help national regulators align their data protection rules for research and balance the public interest in research with respect for individual privacy.
