Former EU R&D commissioner Carlos Moedas is chairing a taskforce set up to promote the use of innovation to help make agriculture more sustainable, the umbrella body for European learned academies, Allea, has announced.

The taskforce will bring together roughly 100 prominent individuals in academia, politics and from “key stakeholder groups” to examine how innovation can “support the creation of more sustainable and resilient European agricultural systems”, according to the announcement.
