Health commissioner promises “strong incentives” for innovation amid industry concern
Supporting industry innovation will be the most important part of the EU’s upcoming proposal for a pharmaceutical strategy, according to the politician leading its development.
Industry expects the European Commission to publish its proposal for revising the bloc’s pharmaceutical regulation by the end of the month. Based on leaked drafts, representatives have expressed concern about the plans, with the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations warning they could “irretrievably sabotage [the] industry”.
