200m kroner for traffic and rail research

The Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) are collectively investing 200 million kroner (€22m) in a programme of transport research.

In a statement published by KTH on 29 September, the investment is described as the largest in transport research ever made in Sweden. The money will be used for research into the operation, maintenance and construction of roads and railways.
