Switzerland joins ESS project

Switzerland joined the European Spallation Source consortium, a grouping that will fund and run the neutron scattering facility for materials research being establish in Lund in Southern Sweden, at a signing ceremony near Zurich last week.

The agreement was signed by Mauro Dell’Ambrogio, Switzerland’s education and research minister, making it the 18 country to join the consortium.
