Data board calls halt to research on privacy grounds

The Swedish National Data Service (SND) at the University of Gothenburg has been told to cease collecting and managing research material with personal data because it violates privacy laws.

In a statement on 15 August to Sweden’s administrative court, the Data Inspection Board (DI) reaffirmed its decision first communicated to the university in April.
