The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, a public sector grantmaker, will start supporting high-risk research projects as part of a five-year strategy published on 2 August.
The Wild Card programme would support projects for one year with the possibility to extend funding for up to five years. The programme does not yet have a total budget, but each grant could be worth up to 2 million kroner (€242,000) yearly.
