Government promises guidelines for open access

The government has appointed the Swedish research council, Vetenskapsrådet, to develop national guidelines for open access to scientific information.

Within the assignment, the Vetenskapsrådet will consult and cooperate with the Swedish royal library and other relevant institutions, the government said.

The Vetenskapsrådet will hold consultations with interest parties in spring 2014.
