Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Lund University and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm were the most successful institutions in Sweden at receiving funding from the EU’s Framework 7, according to a report.
The report, Yearbook 2013, looked at Sweden’s participation in Framework 7 and was published by Sweden’s innovation agency Vinnova on 3 April. It found that universities accounted to 63 per cent of Swedish participation in the programme, and that the three universities secured 30 per cent of the total funding given to Sweden.
Sweden received 3.8 per cent of all the funding from Framework 7, and was the ninth most successful country in winning grants. Germany, UK and France topped the list.
