Swedish companies spent 95 billion Swedish kronor (€9.7bn) on R&D in 2015—a 7 per cent increase since 2013—Statistics Sweden has found.
In a statement published on 16 November, the statistics agency said that industry R&D spending increased by kr6bn between 2013 and 2015. As a percentage of GDP this remained level at 2.28 per cent, the agency said.
The figures showed that companies with 250 employees or more accounted for 78 per cent of industry R&D spending in 2015. However, companies with 10-249 employees increased their R&D spending the most between 2013 and 2015.
