Countries back higher education transparency

Eight eastern countries have committed to enhance student-centred learning and increase transparency in higher education.

Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia and Ukraine signed a declaration saying that they would provide more information on higher education systems, qualifications and policies at a regional meeting of education ministers.

The European Students Union, which is advocating for students to have more involvement in higher education governance, welcomed the decision in a 12 November statement.
