Mutual trust is the key to fruitful relationships between academics and industry, a meeting on research collaboration in Brussels was told.
Richard Granger of the European Industrial Research Management Association (Eirma) told the meeting: “You can have a fantastic contract and a lousy relationship and you will not make progress while even with a lousy contract, if the relationship is good, you can make great progress.”
