Brexit deal fails to settle nerves as UK heads to the polls

European university leaders are still afraid that a no-deal UK exit could sever ties

The agreement of a new deal on the terms of the UK’s departure from the EU has yet to convince leaders of European universities that the country will not crash out of the bloc without such arrangements coming into force.

Nor have preparations for that worst-case scenario reassured them that unilateral and bilateral arrangements could do much to soften the blow.
