Bioscience association chair advocates ‘co-principal investigator’ roles to improve work-life balance

Creating shared principal investigator positions could help to get more women into top R&D jobs by facilitating a better work-life balance, the chair of the EU Life association of bioscience research institutes has suggested.

“Running a research lab as a starting PI really is hampering if you cannot dedicate yourself to that full-time,” René Medema told Research Professional News.
