Education divide reflects that in the labour market, study finds
Gender “segregation” in higher education is a “major barrier to gender equality in the EU”, according to a study by the European Institute for Gender Equality.
The study report by EIGE staff member Davide Barbier and colleagues, published on 30 October, warned that the education divide “is mirrored by gender segregation in the labour market, which determines women’s and men’s earnings, career prospects and working conditions”.
